Facilitation
Disability Rights Taskforce Working Groups
Welsh Government
Access Design Solutions was commissioned by the Welsh Government to provide a facilitation service for a Disability Rights Taskforce. The Taskforce was established to address the inequalities highlighted in the ‘Locked Out: Liberating people’s lives and rights in Wales beyond COVID-19’ report published in 2021. A series of working groups brought together people with lived experience and those with policy and delivery responsibility, to address priority issues including travel, health and wellbeing, social care and employment.
Co-production principles were core to this project and the role of Access Design Solutions was to facilitate an open and accessible environment that reflects the principles of co-production and the social model of disability, ensuring all voices were heard and given equal consideration.
